| How To Install | * The Gateways use Xen to provide virtual machines. * Generally the host and virtual machines run CentOS. However there are exceptions. * A number of different Grid Software Stacks can be provided, each on their own virtual machine. For example: Globus 2.4 (Pre-WS), Globus 4, gLite * A number of specific functions are also provided, again, each on its own virtual machine. For example, a Data Staging machine and a Tomcat enabled portal machine. | License ARCS is using an Apache2 license for all software developed. See LicenseOptions for original notes. | The ARCS National Grid is interconnected using 'Gateways' operated at each ARCS member site. These gateways help provide a common interface to HPC facilities and data resources. |
